I've tried several times to get those bird feeders that suction to your window to work but I just can't get them to stick. They always fall off. So Craig hung a hook right next to the kitchen window so I could hang suet on it. I love it! Thank you Craig. And the Downy's thank you too.

Also I'd like to encourage you to visit Pigeon today. She has given us a real gift. Make sure you linger long enough to listen to the whole song too.

That was so nice of your hubby to get the suet feeder so close!
P.S. With those window suction cup feeders, I have found if you soack the suction cups in hot water for 20 minutes, dry them off - they will then stick to a clean, dry window.
I like that hook Idea, And Shellmo's tip for using the suction cups too. Your Downy is very cute. I'm so glad you liked my lastest post. :)
Steve and I went to the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge last weekend and I saw a pileated woodpecker. I IMMEDIATELY thought of you.
I was so excited to see him (her?) --- but I wasn't fast enough to get my camera out. :-(
I like the outside view especially, showing your lovely cutains at the window. The picture would be a perfect card.
Blessings,Ruth
I've had no luck with the suction cup ones, either. Fortunately, we have a suet cake holder on a tree about a foot from the window. (Although I do not recommend trees that close to the house - they are not kind to foundations!)
I think it's time that I go get some bird feeders. Your beautiful photographs inspire me. Love those curtains, too!
Jessica, I try and try to get your beautiful blog site to load--but my computer is old (2004) and the loading takes about 5 minutes or longer, and then sometimes won't load at all. SO--I'm sorry if I don't comment on your blogs very often. I do enjoy them!!! I especially enjoy your bird pictures. BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Thanks for coming to my site.
Hugs,
Betsy
