Falling Leaves and Caramel Apples

With the upcoming holiday weekend I'm thinking more about the approaching fall season that is lurking around the corner. I'm ready. I'm not sure if I have a favorite season but I do have a least favorite. You might be surprised to know that it is summer. I am not saying that I dislike summer, I just know it isn't my favorite. There are many things I love about summer... my gardens, being outside, the sunshine. But with all that it also tends to be a very busy time in our household.... places to go, things to do, people to see, obligations to attend. By the time the end of summer comes I am usually ready for the kids to get back to school and things to get back to a normal routine. And of course my favorite part is cooler weather!!! I absolutely do not like hot weather!! I'd rather have 10 feet of snow in subzero temps than hot and humid. Good thing I don't live in Florida.
So here's to falling leaves, caramel apples, and cooler weather.......

Jessica - I am with you! I cannot stand hot weather and summer has never been a favorite. Give me fall colors and a cool breeze anyday. Your photo made me so nostaligic - and I'm craving caramel apples already!!

I live in Florida ... and I absolutely HATE summer. It goes on far too long.

Give me fall weather any day!!!!

I like summer, but the first signs of fall are very exciting. That first crisp day, when the sky is robin's egg blue...I can't wait! Not to mention that fall is much more conducive to a knitter.

I don't like the summer days that are hot and humid. I always look forward to fall, but I have to admit that winter is the one season I can do without entirely!

I like all four seasons - maybe that's why being up here in the Great Lakes area is pretty nice because you get all four (although it seems like they skimp on spring some years and go straight from freezing to too hot). There's a lot to like about fall though - you said it well.

or Louisiana. I love the winter but fall is my second favorite season. I even have an anklet of fall leaves tattoo :)

I am a fan of the changing seasons, and always ready for the next one. However, I wish it went spring, summer, fall, spring, summer, fall... Can you tell what I don't like? ;-)
