No time to blog?

My apologies to my readers for the lack of posts this week.  I've had several late nights at work this week and the usual holiday happenings are happening.  I have two Christmas parties tomorrow, the hospital OR party and the urology party.  I work at the hospital but I am employed by the urologists.  I had to go shopping after work today for my exchange gifts.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute!

I've also spent a ton of time on the computer this week.  All because the desktop PC is dying and I have been desperately trying to retrieve my photos.  I will not bore you with all the frustrating details but I was able to retrieve the majority of them and got them transported to my mac book.  There are still some more photos that I would have like to get but I think they are a lost cause.  We can no longer even log onto the PC.  I'm grateful that I was able to get what photos I did.

On a happier note I wanted to make calendars out of my photos as Christmas gifts for a few people and I had a blast doing that the last few days.  My mac book came with the most awesome software for assembling calendars with your photos and sending them to Apple for printing.  I stayed up until 1:00 AM last night making them.  I can't tell you what they are because the people I made them for might be reading this.  I'll post about them later.

And now for a confession... I don't even have my tree up yet!  I'm ashamed to make that announcement.  I am one who always puts the tree up Thanksgiving weekend.  I'm going to blame it on Craig because he's been traveling so much that we haven't taken the time to go get our tree yet.  Craig is in Florida all this week AGAIN.  This is the last traveling he'll have to do until March.  I'm going to try and get Caleb to help me get the tree and set it up tomorrow to surprise Craig when he gets home.  I have a few hours off in the morning before my Christmas parties... am I crazy??

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!!

Yep! But, you're a nice kind of crazy. LOL

Hope you are successful with your tree. My son and I did it one year as a surprise for DH. It was alot of fun. And DH WAS surprised.

You have been very busy!! I can't wait to see your calendars! I'm making one for my mother-in-law right now with pictures I've taken of her new cabin throughout the past year. Good luck w/ the tree - be sure to post pics of it. Muse Swings (her link is on my birding blog) is hosting a Christmas in Bloggyland tour on Mon. Dec. 15th whereby you post any xmas pictures you want - treats, your decorations, etc. I'll post it on my blog later today.
Stay warm!! Shelley

You're not the only one with no tree yet, I'm hoping to do that saturday. Last week I went to Microcenter with my computer expert son Ben, and he helped me pick out an external hard drive. It's purpose is to store all my pictures and important files as a back up. It's one of those things I've finally gotten around to. I'll do a post on it when I actually get around to plugging it in.

I'd say getting your pictures was a priority, so we'll give you a pass on that.
Looking forward to seeing you when your load lightens up. :D

I won't bore you with my busy days, but I've not been as busy as you. Just remember to take time to breathe.

As I told my sister when her computer crashed - thre are places out there that can sometimes work miracles and pull files off of nearly dead hard drives. You may want to check with a local computer geek place if there's one nearby. Just a thought...
