OK, maybe my WOF isn't really that weird or unique but it's driving me crazy. For weeks now it's been raining these helicopter seed pods all over the yard... You name it, there are seed pods in it, around it or under it. What is weird to me is that our huge maple trees only do this about once every 3 years. And wouldn't you know that this was one of the years. And it had to be a year when we are trying to make everything look perfect for Caleb's graduation open house in a week. There are billions and billions of them.
Ty helped mow the lawn this afternoon and he hooked up the bagger so we could try to suck them up out of the lawn. It worked pretty good but it is just impossible to get them all.

I have way too many of them this year too. In fact, instead of weeding my radishes and lettuce in the vegetable garden yesterday, I was picking out all the seed pods.
They've been all over my yard, as you saw in the pictures on my blog. And I've also had to remove them from my gutters.
Too bad you can't convert them into either money of gasoline.
They were way more than usual in our yard, too. I am waiting for a forest of maple saplings to spring up in the yard, rain gutters, etc.
Every 3 years? that's weird, huh?
Love the doggies. Athena would be going insane if she saw that coming.
Of course it's the year you want the yard perfect! I like the pic of the dogs supervising. :)
JUST THINK OF THEM AS CONFETTI FOR THE GRADUATION PARTY!
That is strange that your trees only do that every three years. I guess that is their reproductive cycle?? Hmm... There are so many of them in our neighborhood this time of year!! Good Luck with the Graduation Party!!
