We took Jordan to band camp Sunday evening. I'm excited for another awesome marching season but I'm also a little sad that this is Jordan's senior year which means it's the last marching season ever. Of all of Jordan's activities and organizations I think marching season is my favorite.
Craig's been going up to band camp each morning and helping with breakfast. I'm spending the night there on Thursday as a room chaperone. This year is going to fly by so we want to relish it as much as possible.
More to follow on marching season......
Make all the memories you can.Good Luck.

This season will be my 10th as announcer. The daughter I had in band graduated in '02, and now is a teacher herself.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy working with the band and watching these students grow into fine young adults.
I remember going to band camp, it was always so fun. A lot of work, but so fun!
ReplyDeleteWow - band camp - a sign that summer is wrapping up. They started camp at our HS this week too. They stay in town, so those sounds of percussion wafting through town are always a sign of things to come (and hopes for a winning football season, although as band parents, we REALLY always came for half time!)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy this year. It looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteHow neat, Jessica. I remember my days in the band growing up. I loved every minute of it... Glad your kids are so involved.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well.
Hugs,
Betsy
